According to the CSIRO when lying down the pressure is reduced by up to 50%.

The hides are produced from the by-product of the farming process and sourced sustainably from local farms.? They are produced ecologically at the Roman Tannery in Melbourne.

The Medical Sheepskin consists of between 4000 to 6000 wool fibres per square centimetre, providing a dense wool for outstandingf support and pressure distribution.
